San Diego, CA — Embodiment Coaching for Men

You have spent your whole life in your body without ever arriving there.

iamofbody is a private coaching practice integrating strength training, manual therapy, and somatic work — a path back into the body, for men ready to feel what they have spent years avoiding.

This is not a gym. Not a wellness app. Not a six-week program promising a body you can show off.

iamofbody exists at the intersection of three disciplines — barbell strength, hands-on bodywork, and somatic practice — woven into a single method. The body is not a machine to optimize. It is a living intelligence, and it is waiting for you to come home to it.

Five Tenets

I

The Body Is Not a Machine

We reject the mechanistic, output-obsessed model of physical training. The body is not equipment to be optimized; it is a living, sensing, responsive intelligence.

II

Strength Is Presence

True strength isn't measured in pounds lifted. It is the capacity to remain in an experience — to be fully here, fully felt, fully inhabiting the moment.

III

The Body Holds Truth

Tissue carries history. The body stores what the mind cannot hold. Manual therapy and somatic practice are tools for listening to what the body already knows.

IV

Receiving Is Strength

The capacity to receive touch, feedback, support, and care is not weakness. It is one of the bravest and most undervalued capacities in men. The treatment table is a crucible.

V

The Physical Is Spiritual

The body is not the obstacle to deeper living. It is the path. Physical practice — done consciously — is inner work.

Who This Is For

This work is for the man who has trained his body for years without ever truly arriving in it. The man who senses there is something deeper available — in how he moves, performs, relates, leads, feels.

He may be navigating a significant transition — a breakup, an identity shift, burnout, a loss of purpose. He may come from strength sports, climbing, martial arts, or wellness backgrounds. What he shares is a readiness for transformation that is felt in the body first, not just thought about.

This is not for the man looking for a six-week shred program. It is for the man ready to do the real work.

Zach

Zach founded and operates iamofbody from San Diego, California, where he currently trains clients at Mesa Rim climbing gym. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and an associate's in holistic health.

He is completing his massage therapy licensure at Pacific College of Health Sciences, expected late 2026, and is enrolled in craniosacral therapy training running through March 2027. He is also exploring the Zenthai Shiatsu therapist program on Vancouver Island as a future addition to his manual therapy practice.

His approach draws on Jungian psychology and shadow work, the polarity work of David Deida, the masculine archetypes of Robert Moore, and a lived practice of somatic inner work — alongside years spent under the bar.
